So here we are, excavating sand, our hands slipping from the hands of our ancestors, our eyes failing to trace the features of those who have gone before. How can you stay alone in a room when your thoughts weigh heavy and messy, slipping like grains through the gaps between your fingers? All my work emerges through my imagination, from the quicksilver flashes to the slow, stately disappearances. I express what I can capture in this moody, mutable landscape.
